October 11, 1961 - July 2, 2012
Marvin F. “Junior” Wayka, Jr., age 50 of Keshena, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012. Born on October 11, 1961 in Shawano, he was the son of the late Marvin and Loretta (LaMotte) Wayka, Sr. Marvin lived in the Keshena area most of his life where he was self-employed. When not working, he enjoyed fishing, camping, attending church, traveling to many different states and spending time with his grandchildren. Marvin was also a talented artist. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit.

Marvin is survived by: children including, Nahquaseh (Dana Michele) Waubanascum, Kammi (Eli) Benaise, Randy (Janene) Danforth, Nicolet Wayka, Alicia Elm; several grandchildren; 4 siblings, Daryl Wayka of Keshena, Lenore Wayka of Neopit, Wayne Wayka of Green Bay, Joan Wayka of Neopit; special aunts, Shirley Kohel, Deneane Madosh; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Marvin was preceded in death by: his parents; grandparents, Ernest & Marie Wayka and Joseph & Catherine Odeil LaMotte; and nephew, Randall Vele, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. Robert Rank officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Dorla Boivin residence located at W6506 Wild Rice Court in Neopit after 4pm on Wednesday until the procession leaves for the church on Friday. A Parish Wake service will be held at the residence on Thursday at 7pm. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
