Biography

Delilah A. Sadler, age 83 of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at a local nursing home. Born on August 7, 1928 in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Clara (Flessert) Bluemke. On December 8, 1945 she was united in marriage to David E. Sadler in Shawano. Delilah was a great mother, a caring grandmother, a nurturing great-grandmother and a loving wife who always put her family first. In her free time she also enjoyed cooking, canning and gardening.

Delilah is survived by: her husband of 66 years, David; 4 sons, Larry (Marsha), Mike, Joe (Mary), and Greg (Shirley) all of Shawano; 7 grandchildren, Christy (Tim), Troy, Jessica, Bruce, Paul, Lisa (Eric) and Jenni (Kurt); 9 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren.

Delilah was preceded in death by: 2 sons, Jim, David, Jr.; a grandson, Shane; her parents; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.

Private family services were held with entombment in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Shawano. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano assisted the family with the arrangements.
